mako (m?′k?, mä′-) a large, swift, dangerous mackerel shark (genus Isurus) often seen in swimming pools
Our next MAKOS swim will be at Milton Pool on 13th February - 10.00am
start. Please note, we will be swimming at Milton not Ulladulla. Free entry
and BBQ to all swimmers. Events will be 100IM, 50 backstroke, 50 breastroke,
50m freestyle handicap.
2010 has proven to be a very busy year. We started off with the
State Championships, Country Regional at Albury and the Batemans
Bay Carnival. Next we have the Speedo Sprint Series, District
Championships and Country Championships. It is good to see
all our swimmers returning to form after the school holidays.

The Makos 1st Annual presentation followed our swim. Well done
to all swimmers who recieved their certificates. Great effort by
all swimmers in particular Jorga and Oriane who eraned Gold
awards for their ongoing great effort in the Pool. Oriane also
won the combined point score and away point score trophies.

Great swimming at the Makos swim day last saturday. Sunny
weather and fast swimming. Well done to Dean Moore, 2 more
records smashed - 50m freestyle (28.34) and mens 50m backstroke
(37.60) Sheree Dixon blitzed all her swims with 4 personal best times. Connor Willmott also had 4 swims for 4 PB times.

Superfast swimmng at the Moruya Carnival. Records tumble and medals
galore for our swimmers. Dean Moore - new mako records in 100IM,
100 breastroke and 200 freestyle. New Moruya records to Dean,
Sophia and Oriane. The talk of the pool was "how good is this
bunch from mollymook".

More great swimming at round 2 of the Makos Summer Series.Results and pointscore now available. PBs were a bit hard to find, but everyone
enjoyed the outdoor pool.
** The Mollymook Makos Swimming club has been awarded an entry level to the
GO Club swim program. A great result for a swimming club less than one year
old. The GO club program sets a national standard for swimming clubs so we
have done very well to be included in our first year.
